Acree was there.. We were directly behind the bench sitting with the parents so you hear some things. I think part of Teagues problem is that his people are screaming at him to do one thing and his coaches are telling him the opposite. People are screaming at him shoot the three.. During time outs they are screaming at him his current starliner and what ever else they think he needs to hear.. The last three minutes of the game someone was screaming you got 22 and 9 1 rebound for a double double over and over again

We played a really good second half though. Team really seems to have some good chemistry lots of joking and kids helping each other on the bench. Coleman is really vocal in a good way. He will be a leader. Luke's dad said Hazen is likely out a couple games. He had no idea what happened to man bun said luke normally tells him everything and he did mention it yesterday morning. He also said luke is loving Ball State and starting to feel really comfortable on the court. He said staff wants Luke to look to shoot more so he was pretty happy when Luke took the two little pull ups

Cardfan you would lick anyone’s ass that disagreed with me; but I note you had no response?!
And, LMills, I’m one of the most positive board people re our team but you don’t always read what’s truly said and you kiss a lotta local butts...must be your friends.
And, CallingBS, wouldn’t it be fairer to look at Coleman’s stat line for minutes played so far?

Dang Kid you really are trying to pick a fight tonight.. I suggest a stiffer drink and a xanax. I would assume everyone is still shock over the football game last night. Pretty much everyone agree's we played a pretty good game tonight

3 scenarios: He’s hurt. Doghouse/academic issues. He’s just not good at all and is a wasted scholarship after being heralded as a high level recruit by whit. Which is most likely? Did you watch him play against Defiance? Not ready. Looked totally lost.

I was surprised how frail he looked in the Defiance game. I thought he would be a little stouter. I agree, in that game he looked lost.

Not to worry, the Whitford strength and conditioning program doesn't kick in until year three, or something.

Supposedly good health.
Long time since he's played a real game. Looks like Coleman has beaten him for PT

As long as his health is ok that’s the main thing. I had expected him to be a bit bigger by now.

Coleman played 19 minutes - 3 boards, 2 points, 3 assists, and his D was just ok. Not exactly a stat line to get too excited about. Is it me, or is college basketball just really sloppy nowdays? I find myself unimpressed with most of our wins, but maybe I need to change my expectations of what good/ successful basketball looks like. That's because, outside of a very select few coaches, nobody in college basketball actually "coaches" anymore. 90-95% of D1 head coaches are glorified ass wipers who don't want to say or do anything that might displease the kids. 18-21 year olds don't want to learn anymore, because they've heard from their high school coaches, their AAU coaches, their friends and family (see post about Teague's entourage) how good they are and how smart they are and how they belong in the top tier, to the point that to try and coach them is only going to upset their fragile little egos. Hard-ass coaches like Bob Knight (despite his flaws, he coached kids up, graduated kids at a high rate, and developed them for the future) would get absolutely eaten alive in today's entitlement era. We've seen it here at home, Whit doesn't want to coach, he wants to do everything he can to be seen as these kids friends instead of their leader. It's fucking nonsense.
