Football Injuries and its lack of attention

This type of behavior among coaches is nothing new. During the early 70's I read a book written by Gary Shaw titled ''Meat on the Hoof'' that chronicled University of Texas and coach Darrell Royal's misuse of players. Shaw writes about injuries, running players out of the program, and the terrible conditions that some players were exposed to because the coaches did not want them around taking up scholarships. That being said, I have no knowledge of any players being victims of this type abuse in Muncie.
