How much longer are we ok with this? Well we are apparently extending a 3-win football coach that backed into two of them, so I’m assuming this is a trick question.

Woeful and embarrassing! I convinced my (Ball State student) daughter to attend the game with me and I feel like I wasted her time. I almost walked out at halftime. Can I get my money back for the ticket?
I'm in agreement with the people who think Whit is too low key and laid back to get the kids motivated.

Whit was much more direct and pointed about his disappointment this time and that’s good. But is it too late to change the team’s mindset? Will he be more demanding of excellence now? He used words like unfathomable and ungodly regarding our decision making and for whit that’s got some bite too it. He was finally outwardly disappointed in his team. Normally he’s pretty neutral and blah.
Time to shit or get off the pot for him and the team. We’ve seen this up and down roller coaster his entire tenure. Folks are sick of it.

So much fodder on the table, but is it really worth my energy? Ah, what the hell... We're down 3 with 30 seconds to go, they have the ball and we only have 5 fouls. Yes, by all means let's let them burn 15 seconds, and then get a mostly uncontested layup. A 1-4 team comes in and confidently attacks our "defense" The refs helped our cause in the second half Our bench is bad news Our shot selection is atrocious Our coaching and "preparation" is painful to watch - but hey, we do it the right way Our O consists of standing around the 3-point line flat footed "Trust the process. "

Whit is a good man and cares about his players but he is cold and dispassionate. He lacks personality and energy. He’s extremely low key. And not at all surprisingly his teams mirror those characteristics. In more cases than not we sleep walk through first halves. We play robotically. We get ourselves back into a game, like tonite, and then immediately return to the crappy play that got us down big in the first place. You rarely (never?) see him discipline a player for lack of effort or sloppy play or lazy defense or poor on court behavior. He wasted years on a kid who continually burned him and the team (Tyler). You wanna help a kid, that’s great. But do it outside of basketball if the kid has proved he was only going to hurt the team repeatedly. He’s not been able to recruit “it” players. Certainly not enough to make the difference. He’s just doesn’t appear competitive enough. No fire. How much longer are we ok with this? Well, last night on the radio postgame he was threatening the team that depending on practice today they might not be allowed to go home for Thanksgiving. I don't agree with that kind of crap. That's what the kind of crap you see from desparate coaches who know the end is near.

At least he showed some disgust about not getting the ball into Teague.

Yeah bad tactic there. Says a lot. And completely out of temperament for Whitford anyway

We're so deep that the bench gave us 6 points. On 2 of 13 shooting. Bumbalough 0-5 from 3. He finally stopped shooting midway through the second half.
34% shooting as a team.

Frankly, the shots have been there from outside and the foul line but we go from hot to cold....from one half to the next from one game to the next.....hot and cold. I genuinely believe this team should be 7-0 but instead we're 4-3.....ultimate responsibility on the COACHES but the players must be held accountable for their performance...and, why given the performance woes of several is Thomas not finding the court? He has the athleticism and has proven he can score and rebound against D 1 competition....give him a chance when the lights are on...

If you figure out what's going on with Thomas, you let me know because I am baffled. I thought he was about as much of a sure contributor as a newcomer could be, due to his proven D1 production, and the fact that he is now two years older than he was that year.

He looks really athletic but when he does get out there everything looks rushed and panicky.. He also fouls at a really high rate
