Halftime. Down by 13. Teague shooting 7 3s, 12 turnovers, outshot 40%-28%, from 3 60-28. No points in the paint. We suck.

I feel like I'm watching a high school team against a college team and Loyola isn't even a good team.

Hurts watching this team play. Eighteen points in first half. Poor shot selection. Can’t get shooters open. No depth. Bigs setting on the bench, are they that bad. This season already sucks big time. Not what I was expecting. Sad.

Loyola read the scouting report: Pakistan the lane cause we can't shoot from outside.

Remember when we beat these guys last year? What progress we have made in year 7 of Whitford. It is 7 right?

As the season goes down hill, we need something to keep up the interest of us fans. I suggest Whitford has a special guest appearance each game from our incredibly deep bench. Randomly pick one of our bench players to play 10 to 15 minutes. Tonight it was Acree. Maybe next game it could be Thomas, followed by Hendriks and then Huggins. Of course after their appearance bury them on the bench again for the next 4 or 5 games.

Teague almost had a triple double tonight; 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 turnovers!

Some observations from the game:
Teague, aside from a really nice bounce pass for a lay-in, can't pass his way out of trouble when he's in the paint.
Kroft has a really explosive first step, but needs to learn some body control. Not sure what his vertical is, but he intercepted a pass that was WAY over his head, he really got up.
Bumbalough looks like he's getting frustrated, but defends pretty well. He hit a couple 3s, but was 2 of 7... if he can find his range, he should be fine.
Acree didn't really play enough to get a good look at him, but seems really quick, and has an intensity about him. Might be the missing spark that we've needed since Persons left.
For the most part, they were able to keep Krutwig in check, but left others open, and it cost them. Both teams looked awful in the first half. Loyola managed to be less awful in the second.

The Cards were beyond terrible in the first half, somewhat better in the second. The Ramblers didn’t look great either. Depth is not there. Bigs are a small part of this team and are serving as bench warmers. At this point, I am tired of hearing about Indiana’s team with seven Indiana all-stars. Can’t blame the players as much as the coaches. One bright spot is Ish’ the kid and is looking real good - wish he would have made the dunk.
Now it’s on to beating IUPUI.

Now it’s on to beating IUPUI. I wouldn't bet the farm on that.

Teague has been a really good passer, save last night, this season. Kroft isn't a D1 player. I'm completely unimpressed. Bumbs has major physical limitations, but plays hard and competes. Acree is very long and athletic, but has no offensive skill. I liked his defense and competitive fire. Our perimeter defenders are horrible about closing out on shooters - Mallers, Ish, and Walton are the worst culprits.

Seems spot on. A little surprised how much we miss KJ despite lack of a shot. Acree, Bumb and Kroft need time. Not a big surprise to me, we are struggling. Coleman the only newcomer having found a role. I expected more from Hazen and our MIA transfer coming off the bench, need one of the more explosive newcomers to emerge. Hope all can get it together. Ish, Teague and Mallers have experience can be the core, but to play our best we need numbers. Will not win unless we either shoot very well or get the expected boost in play from our bench.
