I know Goetz said the last week of the season that an extension was on the horizon, but I hadn't heard whether or not it was finalized. Was Neu actually ever extended?

I was wondering the same thing. I didn’t hear what the extension was.

Maybe it was a VERY short extension and that is why DC and OC replacements were from existing staff?

Still a valid question after 8 weeks. Since we were not going “outside” to fill positions, maybe there is no reason to reveal length of extension? There have been many on here that fear recruiting is compromised if players have no confidence the coach is staying. Guess Beth doesn’t feel that is a compelling argument for publishing a verified contract extension.

Maybe the announcement she made is enough?

You would think that some local media outlet would have answered these questions already, but I guess it's not a front-burner issue for them.

Wonder if the new University budgeting approval process is creating a delay?
This would be a new contract.
Many places with open positions across campus are not yet allowed to search for needed replacements. It's going to amount to a hiring freeze in some areas since the market is being missed for new hires.

Some positions have stayed open up to a year.
