Pete has hired poorly. Period. No excuses. Can't argue about the results but I don't buy the argument that he didn't care because he was heading elsewhere. That's bogus in my opinion. I totally agree with you as it is a bogus ascertion!

If you were reading the WF fan board threads back then......Pete was their man and had one foot in the door. They dodged a bullet.

Gotta agree with 2012 and Cardfan here Pete hired Joey because it was easy and he felt he had one foot out the door. He did not have us ready for the bowl that followed and has been checked out since. Our recruiting is down, team moral is down, there is inner turmoil. Quite frankly whether we want to accept it or not the program is a dumpster fire right now.

Things are not well internally.

Cardfan then tell us what you know? I agree with those that say Pete did a quick hire on Joey cause he knew he was headed back to Carolina. Pete just doesn't look happy or enthused to be in Muncie and when the head guy feels that way guess what it all flows downward.

Well, if all you say is true about Pete, then he is surely sealing his fate to be eventually fired here. Now for a guy looking to move on, that can't be good for his resume. So, not sure why that would be the case. I know nothing about internal issues as I live in AZ, but would be curious how others have the "true" inside scoop.

Rumor has it that Pete did several illogical and odd things in recent years to pacify a relatively small but vocal and historically hateful fan base on the north side of Muncie.

I just watched Western Kentucky win the Conference USA title over Southern Mississippi. I remember going down there and winning. Seems like a hundred years ago.

We will see in what players choose not to come back and what coaches leave what the state of the program is.

I have no idea what this refers to, and don't much care, but I vote we refer to it as "The McGalliard Conspiracy".

I do like "The McGalliard Conspiracy," but I have no idea either. I was surprised to learn we had more than one fan base.

Based on current attendance at sporting events, and the general negativity of our online discussions, a "fan base" of any kind is perhaps a misuse of the term except in our aspiration to develop and have such a vocal body of loyal fans.

''The McGalliard Conspiracy'' no doubt is a cell of evil double agents from TSIB. Better call ''Bond...James Bond.''

I'm now hearing, from some of my shady but in-the-know Muncie sources, that there is a lot of nefarious activity centered around the Chuck E Cheese's in the Northwest Plaza. Furthermore, someone fitting the description of Lembo was seen there, acting odd and illogical in the company of a few small, vocal and hateful men wearing trench coats and dark glasses. They left in a black unmarked sedan heading north on Wheeling. Draw your own conclusions.
