......big difference between playing with emotion and passion versus acting like an ass and we’ve started crossing the line. I pray Whitford will nip that crap because we’re gonna get teed up soon..... Persons comes to mind. I’m thinking Whitford will continue to look the other way.

Coleman has some really strong attributes but ball handling isn’t one of them, IMO. He is a good rebounder, makes some good assists and can be effective with the drive and kick or use the glass when he finishes. He always kind of looks like he’s going in slow motion but it’s effective nonetheless. He is no "pure" PG with the ball handling skills you expect there. A combo guard.
We play him with the ball so much mostly because he has good vision. Can see over the defense. Probably the best choice. Of our other choices, Ish was not that good in the role last year and is too important as a scoring threat off the ball, and although Josh is better at ball handling in most aspects, he just isn't an offensive threat, doesn't really shine at finding the great pass either. Luke is in the lineup because he is a threat to shoot, and that is worth more in the offense where we want Teague to have plenty of room and want room to drive to the basket when we can.
We have relied on Mallers and Ish and Luke to stretch the offense to make room. The offense seems different and maybe better where Thomas and Acree who may not shoot nearly as well do add the dimension of 1 on 1 drives. And unlike KJ you can't just ignore the outside shot.
