Nationals claim Call off waivers Headed to AAA Rochester If I read the article correctly, he also got one of the coveted 40-man expanded roster spots.

Not sure how to interpret. Neither Nationals nor Rochester have updated their on-line rosters to include Call yet.
Looks like it, though.
Edit: Nationals site now shows Alex on 40 man roster

Check out the documentary on Carl Erskine. World premier was this past week at the Paramount Theater in Anderson. Will be on PBS Ch 20 WFYI Sept. 20. Ted Green also did one on Eva Kor and Roger Brown.

Agree and I saw the premier and it is excellent. Time well spent.

Washington Nationals website news:
"A one-run advantage does not guarantee a win against a team with offensive power playing in its home ballpark. Alex Call followed Thomas in the batting order -- but only after Luke Voit was a late pregame scratch (back tightness) and Martinez bumped him from the No. 7 spot to hit second.
Call had studied Hader on the virtual reality Oculus WIN Reality program on Thursday and felt ready for him on Friday night. The 27-year-old rookie -- designated for the assignment by the Guardians on Aug. 5 before he was picked up on waivers by the Nationals -- overcame an 0-2 count to crush a 97.1 mph sinker into the left-center-field seats for two insurance runs.
It was his first Major League home run following six years in the Minors."

Plesac on injured list after breaking hand punching the pitching mound.
Justified, I guess. It was right after giving up a HR. 🙄
