I’ve been impressed with Bens confidence growing in the last few games. Seemed very sound in his game and hope he grows as the season progresses to give the Cards a rim protector along with points and rebounds.it’s a side of Ben we have yet to see on a consistent basis. Maybe he is finally getting it. Go Big Ben!

It’s hard to coach athleticism. Based on Lewis rewarding practice enthusiasm with PT, he must be hell on wheels in practice.

He may be a bit awkward but I think maybe he is but better than recognized; he is hitting from the field at a high percentage and seems to often be in the right position for an offensive put back! While not an exceptional player he is definitely an exceptional teammate and is contributing beyond anyone’s expectations.

For whatever reason, he's responding to Lewis and playing hard at what he can do. He's marginal on D and not killing us on offense, but that's a big improvement. I don't see our big lineup working in better competition, but until Doughty comes around or until other small ball options develop, I'm glad he's able to give us minutes.

I did find it interesting that Lewis went with a big lineup (Hendriks, Jihad, Pearson, Jones and Anderson) some in the second half of the Pine Bluff game. After years of smaller lineups, just seemed strange to see that many bigs on the floor at once.

Let’s just say Lewis is getting the most out of a “project” big man against lower level D1 competition. I also see improvement in Jihad underneath the basket as each game goes by, but I’m doubting he is All-MAC. Good for him to take up the challenge. Makes me wonder why Sparks did not show significant improvement from year 1 to 2.

Let’s just say Lewis is getting the most out of a “project” big man against lower level D1 competition. There are a lot of things you can get away with against #354. Against the MAC contenders? Not so much. But, not to worry, the "rebuilding year" excuse is already locked, loaded and ready to fire.

After years of smaller lineups, just seemed strange to see that many bigs on the floor at once. The small lineups usually had our best 5 players on the floor. Factoring in experience and maybe practice effort, Hendricks may not be. Jones and Middleton did get as many minutes. That Brown is getting regular minutes is as much a surprise as anything. Bell in doghouse apparently.
