you can stop your constant bagging on Rich Maloney. (you seem to have a personal problem with him) We just went to the freaking NCAA tournament LAST YEAR. He's got more sustained success than any other program we've got. Football and Basketball have been underachieving for the most part for a long time. Baseball, wins plenty of games. That we can't get over the tourney hump as much as we'd like does not change that. I think you'd prefer to throw the baby out with the bathwater because you just don't like Rich for some reason. Maloney is as fine a man as we've had at BSU and a tremendous coach who's made the most out of a shoestring budget. (and since when has baseball been considered a "main sport" comparable to football and basketball. It's not even a revenue sport)

Sorry to offend your kin. Are you Maloney’s cousin, soon to be named recruiting manager? Oh no, that’s his son Alex Maloney, assistant coach/ recruiting coordinator. Are they related to the Lynch’s? Does that mean Alex will be our next HC? Joke
Facts:
- 1 out of 18 years to the NCAA tournament ( soon to be 19) Record in ncaa tourney 0-2. We have had the talent to win and be in it more. Hell he even has stated that. *1 entry (last year…finally) due to a player with heart and intestinal fortitude, hits a walk off grand slam in the bottom of the 9th with two outs. Needle in a haystack. Blind luck for him.
Ok let’s go present tense..
- currently sits 1-5 in the MAC - Bowling Green swept Ball U including a game we gave them 38 runs…38 runs! Bowling Green isn’t LSU. - we just lost to Valpo and gave up 9 runs.
He continues to recruit tall throwers and not pitchers, and then mis manage them. I believe in the last several years we our tops in the nation in walks or HBP, contributing to multiple losses. I’m not saying he isn’t a good man. I don’t know him, so I will not judge if he’s a good or bad person, which is not what this is about.
Leave your girly emotions out of this. I’m saying he doesn’t win the big game and will not take us to the next level.
Thanks for helping Ball U become decent. Now here’s a nice comfy spot in our administrative offices, where mediocre is celebrated.
How many quality players left from last year? Retention is a big part of the role, especially these days. I know, I know…money. Oh ya, they also want to play for the coach and feel they’re being developed.
Why no passion regarding Lewis and Neu? Are they not your kin?

Yep, I’m related to every coach I’ve ever thought highly of. Thanks for asking!

Besides avoiding the NIL elephant in the room, we had to hear about our fantastic marketing. "The Cardinals are Muncie's team, and we continue to market to Muncie and the east central Indiana region." How about the Indy and Ft. Wayne alumni base a little harder? It takes more than a couple of billboards and "Bird feed."
And chupacabra? Who peed in your wheaties? Step off the ledge dude.

Don’t worry, the state of the Chupacabra is fantastic!
Ball State Athletics, however, is continuing to flounder for far too long now.

Chupa never met a vendetta he couldn't hold onto for a few decades.
