Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Keith Wenning was in Falcons mini-camp last week trying to earn a training camp invite. No review of his performance, just a mention that he was there.
The Patriots cut Eric Patterson back on June 9th to make room for someone else. Doesn't look like he's latched on anywhere else.
Willie Snead looks like he's working his ass off in New Orleans with the Saints. Hope good things happen for that guy.

So hard to make a roster. Hope Keith impressed. They had several QBs there. Willie is tenacious, I like his chances.

Almost forgot about the Soul Eater. Looks like Sean Baker is still hanging in there with the Falcons.

Wenning likely to see playing time Friday: www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2015/08/12/bengals-giants-defensive-playmakers-keith-wenning/31566833/" Wenning willing and able Keith Wenning has only been in Bengals camp for a few weeks, but the former Ball State University quarterback and Coldwater, Ohio, native may see significant playing time in the Bengals' preseason opener on Friday night if an unspecified injury to McCarron keeps the backup out of action. "Take care of the ball is the biggest thing in the preseason, show the coaches that you can help the offensive side of the ball," Wenning said. "I think that's the biggest thing in my situation. Take what they present and do your best with it." Last year with Baltimore, Wenning earned a spot on the Ravens' practice squad by showing well in the preseason. Armed with that experience, Wenning will enter Friday with some confidence and knowledge of what he needs to do. "Being there definitely helps," he said. "Having a year under your belt definitely helps. But at the same time, you're still going to have some butterflies – be excited. It's still a football game. That's the reason why we play. Definitely knowing the offense helps you play fast and be successful, so we'll go over game plans and stuff like that and put stuff in that I'm comfortable with so I can have a chance to be successful." With McCarron missing Tuesday's practice with the Giants, Wenning received the most practice time of any day in his brief tenure, but he knows he faces an uphill climb in terms of making the 53-man roster. "It is a challenge," Wenning said. "Coming in, starting from fresh, my biggest thing is taking it day by day and just trying to make plays, trying to learn the system and do it as fast as possible." Note: This story has been updated to reflect Keith Wenning's alma mater as Ball State University. An earlier version of this story incorrectly listed it as Miami University."

www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2015/08/14/walkthrough-valuable-nfl-preseason-opportunity-keith-wenning/31672751/"Now, one guy who wasn't busting it in April – at least not here – was Coldwater, Ohio, native and Ball State alumnus Keith Wenning. The Bengals signed him in late June to be the team's fourth quarterback behind Andy Dalton, AJ McCarron and Josh Johnson. A sixth-round pick by the Ravens a year ago, Wenning knows what situation he's in - and the uphill climb he faces in terms of making the roster. But he also showed well last preseason, earning him a year on the Baltimore practice squad. Since McCarron, who missed practice this week, is questionable at best for Friday's game due to an upper-body injury, Wenning may get an extended opportunity. Which made Paul Dehner Jr. and me wonder: Has any starting quarterback in the league started his career as a No. 4 quarterback in the preseason? (I feel the need to offer this disclaimer. We're not saying Keith Wenning is going to replace Dalton. Pump the brakes. We just wondered if a guy ever rose out of such a situation.) The short answer is yes. I'll give you a second to guess who it was … … Tom Brady is the most prolific and perhaps the greatest outlier in NFL quarterbacking history. Like Wenning, Brady was a sixth-round draft pick, and like Wenning, he was the fourth-string quarterback for the New England Patriots in 2000."

From what I could tell, the #3 QB got the majority of the reps - almost three quarters worth. #1 QB played one series and #2 was out with an injury.

I thought Wenning was spot on with his passes with of course the one exception. In fact his arm and mechanics looked quite a bit better than the last time i saw him play.

Unless something changes, looks like they want to give Johnson the shot at number 3. Unless they keep 3 on the roster, there would be no room for Keith on the PS.
Let's hope he gets more of a chance.

I don't think kw has much of a shot in Cincy. Hopefully they will keep him on the practice squad.

It is too bad that Denver doesn't have room for Wenning. I thought he could have thrived learning the position from Manning. He could have been a good fit in Denver.
