Picture this: 103 year old Navy veteran survivor of Pearl Harbor comes to speak at a middle school. Guy had dodged strafing Jap planes and sprayed water on ammunition to keep it from exploding on the USS West Virginia, after the ship took 9 torpedoes. Saw several of his buddies dead on the ship. He asks a student to help him up from his motorized scooter. The girl was no doubt feeling very solemn and concerned about not hurting the guy. She pulls on his hand....and it comes off. He used a prank rubber hand. True greatness.
Just look at his expression as he sets up the gag. I'm sure that his wonderfully sick sense of humor has a lot to do with him living to 103. I have a new hero.

My older brother told me about a WWII vet in our hometown that had lost his leg below the knee, and used a wooden prosthetic to walk on.
To prank kids, he'd talk about how his "damned socks would not stay up." He'd pull out a box of tacks and a hammer, and nail his sock to his shin.

Like that one a little more! Feel sorry for the poor girl pulling the guy's hand off...
