The B10 was a little like the MAC of major conferences, not so many top rated teams, but a balanced conference which had a lot of teams who could beat each other up in the conference season.
Their auto bid was the team that got hot at the end.
And, their teams got no respect. Wisconsin and Purdue could have been seeded higher and team like Iowa, maybe others could have done well.
I am almost glad to see them get teams in the 16 while a few of the more highly touted conferences are limping into the same round with fewer teams alive.
Of course KU and UNC remain the favorites, and look pretty good. And a bunch of freshmen from Kentucky with little chance to ever get a degree are dangerous. At least they're not favorites! But it's not exactly news to see a tournament where the Big Ten , SEC , Big 12, Pac-12 all have a lot of teams left. Although where is the ACC?
And, WHICH teams from those conferences are left is a little surprising. I suppose if you just took the NCAA seedings and picked your bracket in the office pool you'd not have a terrible looking result. But, I doubt many entries have Xavier, South Carolina, Florida, Michigan and Wisconsin left.
Probably have to pick KU, UNC, and Gonzaga to get to the Final 4, and one of them to win. But, those teams don't really look that much better than the rest. and whoever wins can't really say they are the best team in the land, just that they survived and dodged more bullets than the top 4 or 5 teams that might make that claim.

Unlike the women's side, where their aren't enough elite players to fill the roster on more than 3 or 4 teams nation-wide.
