This week starts off with Purdue on Wednesday and then our first MAC series against Kent State. Three at home.
Kent comes in at 11-6 and hitting .304 (BSU .241), pitching 4.04 ERA (BSU 2.76) Cards are 15th nationally in ERA
Kent was the dominate team in the conference last year at 44-14 overall and 20-4 MAC. Of course, the MAC sent Western Michigan (22-34, 11-13) to the NCAA tournament.

The MAC has a knack for sending vastly unqualified teams to the NCAA.

Nothing promotes the worthiness of conference tourneys better than sending bad, unworthy teams to the NCAA tournament. The MAC is especially good at that, in multiple sports.

4 errors lead to 4 unearned runs. Cards lose first game of Series to Kent 6-5.

Lost Saturday's game 6-3. Kent had 11 hits and earned the win. We 8 hits, one error, one BB, 2 HBPs. Kent had two errors, 4 BB and 2 HBPs. We stranded 9; Kent stranded 7.

So what happened to the pitching this week? We looked better against Oregon State. Did we wear ourselves out by flying all over before the MAC season?
