Jeremy Hazelbaker was sent down to Reno yesterday. He got 29 abs with Arizona he was 8 for 26 with 3 walks. Average .308 with a homer & 5 rbis. I note he was not kept on the 40 man roster. Comment from Dbacks manager Torey Lovullo said" ( Hazelbaker) played well, did exactly what we wanted him to do, but sometimes this game can be unfair."

How does a guy hitting .308 anywhere get sent down?? Club needed to make room for a returning starter and Hazelbaker was the odd man out on the roster. Roster management can be a bitch sometimes.

They are going to roster manage him to another major league team before long.
There are more than a few teams that could use a good bat. He'd look pretty good with less than those stats as a DH if not a regular player on some major league teams.
But, he's getting older, just might not make it. I suppose he could end up a minor league veteran, if he wants to stay in baseball. There are usually a few on every team that have just not been able to get to or stay at the next level and they can play a long time AAA.

I have the impression he fits in the Dbacks plans just as poorly as he did the Cardinals last season. He will probably only come back up if they have an injured outfielder. The surprising thing to me is that the outfielder they replaced him with Gregor Blanco is 33 with a lifetime avg of .259 & in 8 seasons has hit 21 hrs. I don't get it. Maybe the Dbacks have a large Zenezuelan fan base. I hope someone else picks him up.

Like I said....it's going to be a LONG time to football season
we need to ratchet up the WTS Person of the Year contest to fill the gap.

Jeremy is off to a good start at Reno in 9 games he is hitting .382 with 2 hrs & 9 rbis. However, I still feel he only goes up to Arizona if someone gets hurt. Also note this the team batting average for Reno is .309 it sounds like a great place to be a hitter.

If nothing else maybe he'll be attractive to another team in the coming months.
