Nate Davis led the Amarillo Venom to the South Division title 55-27 over the Centex Calvary in the Champions Indoor Football League. They now enter the playoffs as the # 1 seed & face Duke City in the 1st game. Davis was 8 of 19 for 71 yds & 2 tds. He ran 5 times for 13 yds & 2 tds. Amarillo had a crowd of 2,300 which leads me to believe Nate is not getting rich even if he is the best QB in the league.

Arena FB has lots of 2 way players.
Very flakey leagues historically with teams folding, jumping around. New leagues coming into existence. Been around since 80's, early 90's maybe.
Some players make decent money, some low level leagues it was a 6 pack, pocket change, maybe a motel room, a couple of free meals a week. Range from semi-pro to something like mid, low level Euro basketball player comp.

I found an article from a couple years ago which stated that players make about $200 per game in the CIF (where the Venom play).

Still believe he could have been a super bowl quarterback if an NFL team really invested in him and took the time to teach him the play book. I know a lot of 49ers fans were upset when they let him go.

The NFL isn't real tolerant of guys who can't learn the playbook on their own.

Isn't Brady on Duke City staff? Great matchup.

He also missed protections, etc. He definitely needed hands on work. Given time and attention, maybe. But they generally don't baby sit players like that.

Unless you're a Bret Farve you won't get away with sloppy, by the seat of your pants, make it up as you go, whoops, I screwed up Haha type of play and attitude.

I found an article from a couple years ago which stated that players make about $200 per game in the CIF (where the Venom play). I believe that. QB probably paid more. Tim Tebow $225 a game... My recollection is the top paying league paid more but went bankrupt a few years ago. I knew an agent who placed players in the various leagues. Had trouble even contacting management in some, amateur hour. 2016 article on AFL
Apparently crashed and burned, started 2017 with 4 teams... Insolvency? But never fear they are on the rise again!Google Indoor football salary and you get: "Arena Football League players often work part-time as bouncers, or at other jobs to supplement an $830-per-game paycheck, which is an upgrade from the old rate of $400 per game. That amounts to less than $15,000 for the 18-game regular season. AFL players also have the option to get $150 monthly housing stipends. In 2009, the AFL declared for bankruptcy amid rising player salaries when the league minimum was a more respectable $31,000 and the league average was around $80,000 a year." There have been players go to Canada and even the NFL. Nate's leagueThey stream on Eversport, so you might be able to watch him play in the big championship!

Ive probably said this before but Nate was one of the best draw a play in the dirt and make something QB's Ive ever seen. Just did not have enough going on upstairs to ever survive in the NFL

Nate made a few people millionaires and head coaches. Hoke, Turner, Parish all reaped the rewards.
