No wonder Frozen was the only one to accept that ticket offer... He took the free ticket then I never saw him again.. Guessing he was scared to be seen with me

Can someone relay this preview to the StarPress? I don't think they realize it's game week....

Their qb runs well. We haven't defended well against a qb who can run since ??

I think the Cards get the win on the road in a close one!

Their qb runs well. We haven't defended well against a qb who can run since ?? 2008. Lefever had destroyed us with his running ability for a couple years before that and we finally put a stop to it. He was still their leading rusher, but only with 75 yards and 0 TDs (compared to 146 & 1 TD in 2007, 75 yards and 2 TDs in 2006).

Before that it was the Schudel years where we actually did a really good job against option QBs. (But they couldn't throw it well)

We couldn't even stop Jordan Lynch when we had Jonathan Newsome!
Seems to me that most of Illinois fan base is pretty over confident for this game. They forget they would probably struggle winning the MAC.

Jordan Lynch from NIU had some success running on us. Hopefully, we rise to the occasion on Saturday and shut down the Illini.

Im sitting here thinking of the running QB's but my mind keeps going to how many times have we had a team in a third and long situation and been unable to get off the field.. It seems like hundreds of times

Yep, so many 3rd and 23's and we give up a 24 yard pass. Maddening. Conversely, how many times has our offense been in 3rd and 6 and we run a 5 yard pass play that has no hope of yards after the catch?

It seems like hundreds of times For years now I've made the same joke every time we have someone in 3rd and 20+. "They have us right where they want us."

Do we know anything else about this Chayce Crouch QB, just a scrambler?

I think the Cards get the win on the road in a close one! Hope you're right. I'm holding any prediction until we announce the uni selection.
