Watching IU/OSU tonight and two of IU's touchdowns so far have come on the rub or pick play down on the goal line. After last year's national championship there was supposed to be a greater "emphasis" on calling that play, but through the first game I've watched, that hasn't been the case.
Is there a way to correctly officiate that play? Is there a way to correctly defend if it you know it's coming?
Thoughts?

Its a tough play to call
If the outside receiver initiates contact, or does not attempt to run a route, offensive pass interference should be called. If the defender initiates contact with the outside receiver it makes calling PI harder. So basically if you think its coming the defender has to sell or cause outside receiver to initiate contact..
Hope that helps its a confusing call
