I was listening to sports talk radio earlier and they were discussing the death of Dick Enberg and who would be on the Mount Rushmore for Sports Broadcasters.
That got me to thinking, who would y'all put on the Mount Rushmore of Ball State Athletics?
Bonzi? Ray? Davis? Majerus? Hunsacker? Schudel? Fontaine? Hoke? Packard? Bullington? Hazelbaker? Snead? Merryweather? And the list goes on...
What say you lot?

I can only go back 15-20 years so my Mount Rushmore would stink

I heard that topic this morning too... interesting! I'm an old, so here goes:
Ray McCallum: Put the bball program on the map and is beloved in the Muncie community to this day. Dick Hunsaker: Tough call over Rick, who simply wasn't here long enough. Sweet 16 and I believe BSU's winningest coach. Morry Mannies: I know we ragged him some, but he brought BSU sports to the masses in the early days, probably for peanuts early on. Ray Louthen: We need an admin. and I think he made BSU D-1 and brought us into MAC as AD.
Honorable Mentions: Dave McClain, Don Shondell

Wasn’t Tim Brown our most famous pro athlete for a long time? Played in a Super Bowl.
It really isn’t a very large list.

Tim Brown is a good one; had totally forgotten about him. I know my list is coach-centric, but Branch McCracken is deserving as well for contributions at Ball State and beyond.

Wave Myers should be a serious candidate. He dedicated his entire life to Ball State. He was a great Cardinal. When I requested that Tom Collins put a tribute to Coach Myers on the Ball State Athletic site he refused. What an ass. I hope he stays in the desert with the Gila Monsters and Rattlesnakes.
