Because I can't find anything I want to watch tonight, and because I'm a nerd, I'm currently watching the BSU/ISU game from 1990-91 season. Fun that these old games are now on the BSU Library account on Youtube, and that Xfinity has Youtube available via the cable box. You want to talk about small ball? Hunsaker started the following lineup for this game: G Mike Spicer (5'11") G Emanuel Cross (6'1") F Chandler Thompson (6'4") F Keith Stalling (6'3") C Steve Turner (6'9") I know Dick mixed the lineup up a lot that year, with nine different people getting starts throughout the year. He sometimes went with a two big format (with two of Turner/Gillis/Broz/Johnson in the game), but the four guard/one center lineup was quite a change from the Kidd/McCurdy lineup from the year before. Fun to look back at these games and see the atmosphere just five games removed from the UNLV game. Love seeing the entire side being the student section (that I was in the middle of), and that entire side standing the whole game. A hugely different team with a whole different type of game plan, but still very hardnosed defensively. Side note: Love the halftime interview with Shudel talking about that young QB Mike Neu... You younger grads ought to take a look at this. The MAC used to play actual college basketball at one time.
