Including the Ohio game, the Cards are in the midst of stretch where they will be playing 6 of 8 games on the road.
What record would be considered a "win" across these 8 games?

To me 4-4. 5-3 would be really good.

To me 4-4. 5-3 would be really good. I have been lulled into a little more confidence with this team that we can win the two home games. Toledo, Western, Kent, and Eastern on the road are maybe the toughest 4 games remaining on the schedule. Central later on maybe tougher. Miami we may be a narrow favorite on the road. 5-3 would indeed be good. That would be 6-4 after 10 games, leave us with 5 of 8 games at home, all 5 favored to win, and two of those road games where we will be favorites. Good odds to close out 5-3 or 6-2.

I say 6-2, maybe 5-3. Outside chance we only lose one!

I'm truly hoping we go 6-2, but 5-3 would be very good...

BSU is 11-5 (8-1 @home; 3-4 away). I think a good goal is to win all home games, and at least 50% of away games.
If we can finish off 7-0 at home, get an extra W on the road and go 5-3 (road), we can finish up 23-8, just under 75%.
Possible???

Maybe its just me but do good teams go 500 on the road? Seems like a good team should win more than the lose no matter where they are playing.

That is possible, and has to be considered a good record, probably means we played better than we could expect. Stuff happens and we will lose one, maybe more, we don't expect. Taking everything in account we are underdogs in several of these up coming games, and have a number over the course of the year where we are about even money.

Even good teams will drop a game or two at home in a conference that has some good teams and is balanced. We are somewhere North of good team probably, but he conference has a lot of teams very close. Losing UB was not a big shock, losing it as we did hopefully is a lesson we have to play not just very tough, but very exactly to beat really good teams or good teams playing well. We did only a little of that against UB.

The Walker shock that day didn’t help matters and probably had some residual negative effect. Still need to play hard, so not our best day by any means.

Ish will have to step up and will get his chance. I think he is up for the task and has shown he can play. Next man up. Too bad for Walker I’m sure he is done for good. Domestic assault is bad and I’m sure BSU code expels or suspends athletes and all students for that. Go Cards!
