Dean Anna Joins White Sox Organization

Dean Anna was signed by the White Sox in January to a minor league contract. He hit .285 last year in Omaha for the Royals Triple A team. He last appeared in the majors in 2015 for the Cardinals. He has spent most of the past five seasons playing in Triple A with brief time with the Yankees & the Cardinals. Anna is starting his 11th season in professional baseball & has .277 lifetime average in the minors & .130 in 23 major league games. He is projected as depth for the White Sox organization. He has been primarily a 2b in recent years after starting as a ss in the minors. He has also pitched in the majors & minors. He was a 26th round draft choice of the Padres in 2008.
