That's our record since starting the season 1-4. Didn't really register for me until I was looking at our schedule today. 18-5 over the past 23 games is pretty damn good considering we lost two of our rotational guards and a third is mired on the pine.
A couple of other semi-meaningless, but still interesting, notes. Persons will turn 23 in August. Guess I didn't really realize he was that old. The transfer year obviously is a factor there. Also Thompson will be 22 this summer as a rising junior. He played a year of prep school prior to college.
Last random thought. I keep thinking every game that Kip is gonna get a chance and that he'll flash some chops, hit a shot and show that he still has some gas left in the tank. But, he's not even getting a sniff. I don't think he's injured, his attitude seems to be good, he's preparing like he's still a starter but no PT. At this time, as well as we've been playing, you hate to see us mess with the rotation at all but I hate to see a senior like him get mothballed. I'm guessing he will start Friday for senior night and prolly get pulled at the first media TO. Hope he can get some decent minutes and we get a lead that will allow him an opportunity. I like him.

I was watching Kip warm up before the game. He was as happy as he could be but while every one else was knocking down three after three Kiapway could not hit anything. I also noticed that Walton was knocking down some threes but boy is shot slow and ugly.

Francis just hasn’t been able to produce. It’s a shame. Hoping that somehow he’ll be a tourney hero.

It didn't register because you're just a Negative Nancy. If you take out the 5 games we lost we're 18-0 in that stretch!

If BSU can finish 2-1 or better down the stretch I feel fairly good about the regular season. If that were to happen, it would be the first 12 win MAC campaign since 01-02 as albeit that 01-02 team played in a much more competitive conference with an Elite 8 rep in KSU. What's in store in Cleveland certainly remains to be seen.

This team has been pretty good lately Two bigs who can dominate in a game good wing and pretty good guard play. Gunn, Ish and Thompson have subbed in and produced a long with Kiapway’s senior leadership. Too bad we can’t see that. The rest of the season will tell how this team ranks. Win out, win tournament and NCAA game the we can compare. Go Cards!

We can see it. They are playing great. We also know how easily it can fall apart so theres some apprehension. And yes, the 01-02 team would do work on this team. It’s just the way it is.
