"It has to be some kind of personnel issue in my opinion."
How about a coaching issue? We looked like we had never seen CMU nor a press. How can we be so flat on a game that can give you the third seed? We were not prepared to play. End of story!

5 years and a 42% winning percentage....now coaching tree leads to a blatant slimeball.
No well coached team finishes the regular season ( and don't forget our start) like this.
How many 14+ point losses have we had this year?
As I've said the last two years, this guy doesn't have it. Enough!

I have watched about 80% of the games this season and maybe with one or two exceptions, once this team gets down 8 points it might as well be game over. They are not coming back; which is weird because last season they fought back many times. An 8 point lead might as well be a 20 point lead by the opponent. In reality, I don’t think this is Whitford’s fault. It appears a lot of the players are mentally/psychologically weak. As a whole, their confidence is easily shaken (except for maybe Persons). If we had normal depth, you could get those players out and replace with hungry ones. We don’t have a bench; we have to live with what we got.

I mentioned before, when the season is on the line and you are short handed, you better have a pretty darn good reason to leave a 4 year player sitting on his butt.

But who recruited those types of players and who has coached them? Who has taught them? Cultivated their mindset ? Who built the bench? (Lack thereof). The buck stops at the top.

Interesting how negative the board gets when we get drubbed when playing some of the most important games of the season.

Persons is worn out & the truth is we have no one else. It's wait until next year for this team.

How are longtime fans supposed to feel after such a shit show? There is not a whole lot of positives when EMU just passed you.

Persons is worn out & the truth is we have no one else. It's wait until next year for this team. Add Mallers to that "worn out" status. He has really lost his offense during these past three games. Hope to hell we can get a consistent perimeter shooter some season.

Kent beat Miami so that is a plus we will finish ahead of both of them. Maybe we can get NIU if they are as dead as we are & Toledo can knock off EMU at home when it means nothing to them get back to 3rd.

Our annual February Fade came a bit later this year.
Must mean that we are getting in better shape?

We are now in 4th EMU is 3rd. No, we are still #3 due to the ^ in the tie breaker procedure. (I got caught by this one last year. The wording is not the best) ^ - For the purpose of determining the Division champion. This tiebreaker is ONLY used for seeding purposes if the two teams in question are tied for the Division lead. So the tie breaker between us and EMU goes to the record vs. ranked conference opponents which we take due to our 2-0 record vs. Toledo. I just did a quick scan of the head to head match-up of the other ties, but If I saw them all correctly here is the current tournament seeding and tournament bracket. 1. Buffalo 14-3 vs. #9 Central Michigan at #8 Bowling Green winner 4. Eastern Michigan 10-7 vs. #12 Northern Illinois at #5 Kent State winner 2. Toledo 13-4 vs. #10 Ohio at #7 Miami winner 3. Ball State 10-7 vs. #11 Akron at #6 Western Michigan winner
