I know that most of you think that KenPom is not a good rating of team performance.....
Cardinals are now #167 and we are the 9th rated team from Indiana.
But, on the bright side, NEXT year is when it finally comes all together

I have watched about 80% of the games this season and maybe with one or two exceptions, once this team gets down 8 points it might as well be game over. They are not coming back; which is weird because last season they fought back many times. An 8 point lead might as well be a 20 point lead by the opponent. In reality, I don’t think this is Whitford’s fault. It appears a lot of the players are mentally/psychologically weak. As a whole, their confidence is easily shaken (except for maybe Persons). If we had normal depth, you could get those players out and replace with hungry ones. We don’t have a bench; we have to live with what we got. Man I totally agree with this. I turned the channel when we were down 9 in the first half and she asked why and I said the game is over, they're going to get blown out tonight. She asked how do I know that and I told her you can see it in their play, they're totally not in sync and I said they most likely won't win another game this year. Season is over, put a fork in them!

The coaching is one thing. But what I see is a team with no bench that is worn out starting with Persons. Check his shooting % from field & foul line it has fallen off because his shots are falling short. The loss of Walker & Tyler has had big effect mostly on him. Note Tyler got 21 against CMU 1st time.

So you mean beating us by 20 points does the other team no good! So if we lose to NIU & EMU beats Toledo that is the only way they finish 3rd.

If WMU and/or Kent State make it a 3 or 4 way tie it gets more complicated. Play like we did tonight and seeding won't matter. We won't beat anyone.

Many of us have said that the past three years. Here’s where I take issue with saying it isn’t the coaches fault. Recruiting is not just about size, athletic ability, quickness or style of play but also about diversity of personalities. Our best recruiters knew this and the best recruiters today know it. Majerus, Hunsaker, MCallum and even Buckley looked for tough minded guys and found them. Even Taylor had Kaminicki but he couldn’t stay healthy. But he was a fighter and rough. So was Randy Davis. Other than Persons and Franko, and maybe Bo who are our tough guys? And don’t tell me it was Tyler or Walker because it wasn’t. This is a recruiting issue and also points to a lack of weight room discipline which we’ve also lamented. Don’t get me started on Kiapway. His treatment still burns my ass.

It just dawned on me that we have lost both games since TP had his hair cut....🤔.....didn’t RMC allude that this might be a biblical faux pas?

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team came away with one of its biggest wins of the season Tuesday, Feb. 27, taking down Western Michigan University 74-58 at University Arena to clinch a first-round bye in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
With the win, EMU (19-11, 10-7 MAC) punches its ticket to Cleveland with a first-round bye. The Eagles hold the tie-break advantage over WMU (17-13, 9-8 MAC), and any other team they may tie in the final season standings.
So how does this hold up as reported on EMU official site.

If they lose their last game they’ll be 10-8. If we win ours we’ll be 11-7. That trumps 10-8 right?? They must mean among all other teams emu holds the tiebreaker no matter what. So we’d be 3 and they’d be 4 if we win and they lose. Now if we lose yet again I’m not sure what happens to us.
I know we’re tired but surely to goodness this team can regroup and come up with a big effort Friday night. And hopefully the coach can extract the effort necessary out of them to get the job done. If not this season is pretty much over in disappointing fashion and the excuses will fly.

Yes, that is what the MAC is reporting now. The must have changed the tie-breaker again.
