Whitford just issued a statement stating IF Walker returns he will have to prove himself prior to being benched for the last ten games of his senior year.

Sounds like Whitford's floating a trial balloon to see if he can get away with it. Must not be feeling too good about his backcourt depth situation.
You know, Jontrell probably just bounced her head off the concrete to help her get some water out of her ear. And then he took her phone in order to troubleshoot an app she was having problems downloading. Anyways, who here hasn't put a woman in the hospital with head injuries? It happens.

Can you imagine if he actually was reinstated? We'd have protesters regardless of if he is found guilty. It can't be done. We don't need that kind of controversy.

RC was being sarcastic about reinstating Walker and worked in a shot about kiapway’s treatment. But, you could actually see Whitford pulling that, which is sad.

It's hard to tell when RC is being sarcastic and when he is being confused.

It's hard to tell when RC is being sarcastic and when he is being confused. I strongly represent that comment, Sherminator!

I agree would be a major black eye I would have thought having a player arrested for domestic battery would have been a black eye all by itself; but it turns out it is actually a justification for failure on the court. If Walker comes back when we lose it'll be because he was a distraction. If Walker doesn't come back when we lose it'll be because we missed his production. The only outcome I feel pretty confident predicting is that we'll lose the important games with or without him.

Domestic abuse means Walker probably won’t be playing ball anywhere.

Domestic abuse means Walker probably won’t be playing ball anywhere. You would think but there are a number of cases where kids have been charged and eventually end up back on the court/field. These are usually high impact kids though not sure Walker is worth the PR nightmare

Wasn’t Thompson at emu involved in something along those lines?

These are usually high impact kids though not sure Walker is worth the PR nightmare Sure, that's an issue. He is something like a 5th grad transfer in impact. The record on such decisions is that the loyal fans who think their institution is above it are more up in arms than the general public. Here the BOT and moneyed boosters would count, but the greatest number of our fans would fall into the category of not knowing about it anyway, and another large group maybe not caring. We'd be the harshest critics. The BOT group would be the ones to stop it happening if the coach thought it was justified. I wonder who we would trust more, the coach who knows the kid the best or the Board. Neither is trusted very far here...

I agree with you but all it takes is the right/wrong person to catch wind and make it a thing. Then it hits twitter where others with agendas jump on etc etc

Wasn’t Thompson at emu involved in something along those lines? But Thompson is 6-10, so you're talking about an entirely different situation there.
