First, let's preface this with NIU is not a good team (15-27 after today).
On Friday, we beat NIU 3-2 in 11 innings. Spotted them 2 in the 2nd (scored one on a double steal. 3b runner stole home).
BSU pitching gives up 6 hits, walks 7, no HBP, 0 WP, 172 total pitches (15.6 per inning) , 61% strikes.
NIU pitching gives up 10 hits, walks 0, 3 HBP, 2 WP, 158 total pitches (14.8 per inning), 65.6% strikes
Other than the 7 walks, a nicely pitched game by BSU. Had to work to hard to take the lead and win.
Today, Drey Jameson just kicked some ass today. BSU wins 11-0, but Jameson had a no-hitter through 6-2/3 innings.
Jameson pitched 8 innings -- 0 runs, 2 hits, 0 walks, 0 WP, 0 HBP, 105 pitches (13.125/inning), 70.5% strikes.
Freed came in to close -- 0 runs, 0 hits, 1 walk, 0 WP, 0 HBP, 22 pitches (very high), 59% strikes.
