...sees the value of an indoor field facility. I think Ball State should consider doing this.

Sure, and Notre Dame can almost overnight aise $5000,000,000 for a stadium renovation project and we struggled to raise $12,000,000 for our stadium renovation a few years ago.

If it's good enough for Notre Dame, then it's good enough for Ball State! ND raised $5 billion? I gotta see this stadium.

Would love to have an all purpose indoor faclity that all the outdoor sports could make use of when necessary. But getting the money..... Hopefully the new AD will be an energetic fund raising superstar. I know there's a fundraising incentive in Nue's contract but somehow I doubt he's been on the phone haggling with donors.

All the energy in the world doesn't mean we can do everything we want. Somebody can dream of a coach selling snake oil and recruiting star players. Rich alums are harder to sell. Not that we can't do better, but most of what we want is pretty high priced. I'll be an optimist and say our odds are better at fund raising than at increasing revenue by attracting sell out attendance at football.

I was hoping that they'd give us their old indoor facility.

Talk about a waste of money and poor return on investment from their FB program - geez!

I might make a deal with the devil if he could arrange for Ball State University to defeat Notre Dame on the gridiron this season.

Poor mental preparedness and an arrogant attitude on Notre Dame’s behalf is a recipe for disaster (probably even worse than their basketball team had). Central Connecticut State won’t catch their attention in the least and will probably enhance their cockiness about playing us. We may just be in the perfect situation to jump on them early and hold on for a win. The situation reminds me very much of the 2007 game we had at Nebraska where we lead virtually the entire game before losing in the final moments 41-40. Interception return for a TD got the Huskers the lead and a wide open dropped pass by Dante Love with less than 20 seconds for the win made the difference. By the way Dante was spectacular that day and so was M. Lewis running the ball until we lost him for the season early in the 3rd quarter. I like our chances if ND totally blows us off!
