Quick release times are key. No more 4 sec in the pocket, unless you are throwing long. We need a quick offense from the snap. Throwing long? What is that? Sounds interesting. Cant happen at Ball State we cant afford it

I heard a rumor that the offensive staff had an outdated version of the NCAA rulebook last year that indicated it was illegal to complete a pass more than 7 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. Hopefully, they've procured some updated copies.

Anthony Licciardi @alicc_Scout May 23 More First thoughts on Riley Neal: + Short/mid accuracy + arm strength + play strength + progressions Ok pocket presence/poise Ok play speed Ok mechanics - decision making - throw on the run - deep accuracy

Whats funny is that all these draft experts still have not figured out Riley is still a junior after the medical redshirt. They are a year early unless they correct and he chooses to leave early.

Leave early for what? He hasn't completed a pass over 14 yards since he was a freshman. He needs to work on a multitude of things before he even thinks of pro football.

Don't know him nor anything, but if he doesn't have too much success there's always that possibility that he throws in the towel and doesn't play a fifth year. I agree with you that he hasn't shown "much" yet, but again, it might all depend upon how good he looks this year as to whether or not he plays a fifth year.

And as we have all said before, you must have receivers that can break containment and get open.

And as we have all said before, you must have receivers that can break containment and get open. Thats a part of of it for sure receivers have not been great at getting open. Also no quarterback hits all the deep throws but I cant remember Riley hitting anything down the sideline for long gain or TD in foreever. I remember him missing a few though

I hope that Riley has improved to the point that the conference might consider him for the All MAC team.
