ND is bigger. The team has to stay humble.

Our guys are humble and have ZERO illusions about where they have been and what needs to get done.
They weren’t happy about the loss at Notre Dame and realize this IU team would compete for a MAC Championship and is not far behind the best in the Big Ten.
Win or loose to IU I can know for certain it won’t be due to inflated egos or any other such nonsense based on the first two games of this season.
They will play hard and hopefully execute well. If that happens we can win this game.
Play sloppy or undesciplened and like any other opponents we will get beat.
No surprise what needs to get done and we have the size, talent, depth and coaching to make a victory in Bloomington happen.
Don’t misunderstand me though as I think IU has the best team they have had in a very long time with a a HC and staff that is solid.

I think UVA has most of their players back from last season and last season they were 6-6 and played in a Bowl Game (lost to Navy). I also saw that Ball State is currently ranked in the 100s on the ESPN FPI and UVA in the 60s. I think we would lose nine games if we played UVA 10 times. I also think we would lose 10 games if we played Notre Dame 10 times. Doesn't mean we can't win some games in the MAC though!! Believe me, I want us to play a close game at IU! Hopefully we will get some more twitter mentions from ESPN reporters to really help us in the next decade or so! The momentum from those tweets is huge. Not to be “that” guy, but in 2013 we went down to Virginia and kicked their ass 48-27! I’ll bet all of the money in the world Virginia can’t beat us 9 times in a row now. Haha! They have not been good since so I’m not sure how to gauge IU’s performance against them last game.

That UVA team was 2-10 and 0-8 in the ACC. We lost to North Texas (!!!) that year! UVA would beat us this year at least 9 out of 10 times.

Not to mention they had one of the worst HC's in college football at the time too.

Hey guys,
IU fan here, and I have no animosity toward BSU. I have several friends that attended BSU, and out of high school I applied to IU and BSU and those were the only places I was interested in attending.
Muncie was only 35 minutes from home and Bloomington was 2 hours and that was a big factor in choosing IU over BSU. Outside of this week I will be rooting for the Cardinals.
I agree with fkfootball's assessment. We have some key pieces that are young, but this team is deeper and more athletic than most IU teams in the past.
I think IU wins, but expect BSU to cover. Ball State is absolutely good enough to win, but some of predictions of BSU by 2 or 3 touchdowns are a little extreme in my opinion.
Good luck with your season!

Eh, some have cardinal colored blinders on so you’ll get some goofy predictions. That’s ok, it’s what we all want in our hearts.
I just think Iu has a better Oline, RB, and qb right now than Notre Dame has and they will make the difference against us. Note I said right now. Down the road a few games that may no longer be true.

We will need to attack IUs QB like we did to Wimbush. He is a good QB but when you have a defense that has a hand on you the entire contest it is impossible to excell. We do not have to be perfect but no turnovers and only two big IU plays will spell a victory...The offense will score points and move the ball.

Ball State can certainly win. But I would be a lot more nervous if Kevin Wilson were the coach. He would be telling his team how great they are and how Ball State is a nobody. Tom Allen wont do that. Hes a New Castle native and he will show Ball State a lot of respect and he appreciates Indiana kids and Universities. He wont let IU get a big head even if they did upset someone big this year. Really good guy and coach. Wilson was a degenerate.
