I am frustrated like the rest of you, but I want Neu back for at least 1 more year. Let him finish his contract and if we don’t get to a bowl game next year we can look for a new head coach. <iframe width="24.75999999999999" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 24.75999999999999px; height: 3.240000000000009px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_56312304" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.75999999999999" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 24.76px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1178px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_49485283" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.75999999999999" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 24.76px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 102px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_74358237" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="24.75999999999999" height="3.240000000000009" style="position: absolute; width: 24.76px; height: 3.24px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1178px; top: 102px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_59001554" scrolling="no"></iframe> I felt the same way as you until today.. After I sleep tonight I might feel that way in the morning. Its not that we lost I am used to losing Ive seen many more losses than wins. Ive been trying to think of the correct words to describe today. I keep going back to completely inept in all phases of the game. I had some hope and even guarded optimism. I would have never said it on here but I thought we might have had a chance today.. Then today happened and what hope and optimism I had was quickly snuffed out and the realization that nothing is really different sets in. You can not take one good thing away from todays game it was a total shit show. the most BSUish of shitshows. Riley could not hit the broadside of a barn. We could not run the ball. The secondary returned to form.. I warned people that this could and probably would happen but the private me thought there was a chance things were improving...

Today was a total reversion to last year. Even more concerning was player behavior and demeanor. It looked almost like Neu lost the team today. Guys did not conduct themselves well and you could see some frustration. On top of all that was the team looked totally unprepared to play today in any phase of the game. The secondary was dazed and confused most of the time.
It was not a good day and the ability of Neu and staff to lead the program out of the dumpster is really in question.

Unfortunately this ultimately is probably what happens in the offseason even if BSU loses their last 5 games.

Not that this should make anyone feel better, but EMU is a really good team. They took down a Purdue team that beat Ohio St by 29 points and their losses were all by a few points. We needed to play our best game to have a chance, and that obviously didn’t happen.

EMU is as good as any one in the MAC this yr but most people will never know it do to their record. Both the dbs were out in the 1st half & it made no difference. We might have been better off if Glass had played.

I am in between on this one. EMU is better than their record. But. We did not play.
Like rmc I expected games like this as we looked forward to this year But. It still sucks to see it.
The staff has to get it together for a short week. Tough job ahead. Really a problem if inconsistent turns into consistent poor play

Can we all at least agree that Neal isnt all that good. Everyone was riding his nutsack the first 2 games of the season with NFL talk nonsense, but he isnt that good and I have not seen any growth out of him.
Expectations are low if some coaching changes do not occur. Mike wants to win more than anyone, but at the same time, he needs to grow a pair and get some better coaches here.
All in all, the team sucks. There has been some bright spots at times but we are now Kent/Akron level of suck. Its been a long time since we have had a good season and a long time since we have one back to back conference games. Having this many passing attempts in 45mph winds reminds me of the GoDaddy Bowl.. Nothing has changed.

Nothing has changed. Neal is often successful only against FCS schools and bottom 10 FBS teams. ND game was close mostly because ND started the wrong QB. I couldn't agree more about coaching changes. Borderline absurd that Joey is in his 5th year as OC. I highly doubt BSU wins 1 of their last 4 games. They'll be at least a 6 point underdog in all 4 games. They literally have the toughest remaining MAC schedule.

Who was talking about NFL for Neal?
He certainly isn’t NFL talent, but I don’t get the hatred for Neal. I get the criticisms about happy feet and inaccuracy, but some of this stuff I’ve read on here sounds personal. I don’t know him personally, but he apparently rubs some people the wrong way.

Watched the game yesterday and was disappointed from the start of the game. The Cards played with little energy and no passion. With only twelve games a season, you would think young men would be up for the contest each week. Not the red and white.
I saw nothing good in yesterday's game.

This week should be a good one to watch the coaches to see if they get this team ready to play & have a team play like they want to win. I always felt a HC game was one the coaches had to show how good they were to the alums.

What is wrong with Huntley? When is he expected to return? I saw him in a boot by the stands as I was leaving. No idea how long he is out. Thanks. I hope he is back sooner than later. We sure can use his running ability. Dunner is a situational runner, not a true backup.

His attitude walking off the field after two errant passes rubbed me the wrong way. I get that it was windy and the receivers weren't in the right spots, but he still made the decision to throw the ball. He appeared to be on auto pilot and wasn't thinking when he threw those passes. That's on him

That's on him I didn’t see those specific plays, but that stuff happens to all QB’s.
