If Green Light is our leading scorer it'll be because he started hitting all those 3's. If Teague actually hit well outside, not only would he score on those shots, but he'd force defenders out and be able to get past them on the drive. Still, I don't see us playing a lot of isolation with Teague having the ball in his hands, maybe if he is defended by an opposing big man?

If Teague is going to be the player I have projected by the time he leaves he needs a big year!
I take Teague.
I also look for Gunn to shoot lights out!!

No doubt it will be Persons. Believe me, he will make sure of it.

I'm a little surprised to see the Teague predictions on here. I definitely think he is capable of doing what all of you say. Are any of you emphasizing this point based upon what you watched in the Indy game? Did he have a different swagger to him as compared to last year? I wish we could put Tayler's bulldog mentality into Teague's body. That would be one hell of a player!
I feel as though we could start 5 players who could all on a given night score 15 per game. I guess that is a great feeling to have, but also a little concerning that it's hard to identify a leading scorer on this team. I honestly don't have a strong guess at this point. I do like the Teague suggestion though!

Persons is the alpha dog. The question is, will the team follow him and will he be a true leader? We know he’s willing to take the big shots. We just need to know he’ll be the one to not let the team lose, to get guys to buy into effort, to minimize the number of flat games. Consistent effort and drive have been an issue at times with whits teams and we need someone on the floor to lead them out of that. (Getting suspended right off the bat doesn’t help)

I agree with Cardfan, but true leaders know they can be the first option but don't need to be

Hopefully get Teague to see what he needs to do, help KJ harness his potential, and work with coaches so everyone busts ass the way the leaders do.
Vocal take charge leadership is only part of senior leadership. They have to be steady, confident, unflappable, strong, and determined. "Tough game coming, we've been there, know we can do it."
Only Sellers had an ounce of that last year and he had none of the charismatic take charge type.

Walton is going to be a problem for a lot of MAC schools. If the staff can harness and teach him something..Look out
