Brady may not be an easy coach for the girls to play for 4 years. You often hear the girls say they understand being tough and hard nosed in practice. At tipoff the tone Brady had speaking in passing of her leaving was not exactly warm. Could have been a little tension there... Yeah i think there definitely was some tension. On one hand I understand that the team wasn't going to be as good this year and she probably though she wouldn't get enough attention from the Pro's at BSU to have a chance. However, I can't help but think that the team and Brady saw it as an outright betrayal. If I can think back, I don't think Brady has ever lost our star player to a big school in his time here at BSU. Natalie Fontaine probably could have played at most P5 schools, but never gave any indication that she wanted to play anywhere else. I helped recruit Natalie originally for B school. She liked BSU. OK with Brady. Was after all the star.

Carmen was a great player for us but chaffed at the hard coaching I think. And left Brady in the lurch late in the process. Can’t see her being able to score in the big 10 but she can pass. I saw that she is 2-23 in FG so far this year. That's hard to do.

Eh, not for Carmen. Never see an uglier shot. Or lay up “technique.”

Lost to something called Quinnipiac today.
How did we end up with so few upperclassmen on this roster?

Lots of non graduate attrition last couple years. I haven't paid close attention to the lady's roster...who outside of Grande has transferred the last couple years?

Some of it is girls just quitting. Or Brady running them off. And there are players who just have not panned out.

My niece, who is a freshman at Westfield, enjoyed her visit at BSU and liked Brady. She already holds offers from Purdue, Miami, Toledo, Western Michigan, Central Michigan & Dayton. She would be a major steal for us if we could get her. As a freshman, she is averaging 11 pts and 12 rebs to go along with leading the team in assist. She can shoot the 3 and she is a 6'2 wing with a great feel for the game. After finally being a good uncle, I have gone and watched her play a couple of times and she is only going to get better. Notre Dame as well as Purdue have been to everyone of her games so I suspect the big boy offers will continue to grow. Of course, she knows where her uncle would like to see her play. Alyssa Crocket is her name. Go ahead and watch some of her video that is out there. I would imagine she will be a candidate for Ms. Basketball when she is a senior. I don't know. Sounds like a one of those "stretch" players to me. BSU should pass.

Understand it was suggest to a few to not return. There's some good talent on this team, but they are young. That said, they will lose their best player to graduation this year, so some better develop quickly.

Just watching her play you can see as a freshman she is the best player on the floor and Westfield plays if not the best, one of the best schedules in the state. You know she is good when she makes the Indiana Elite Addidas Gauntlet team playing 2 age groups up. She is definitely the real deal. I will be interested in what transpires over the next 3 years. It blows my mind she now has 10 legitimate scholarship offers and she is not even half way through her freshman basketball schedule.

Beat Cincinnati tonight. Good win to bounce back. It will take some time for these girls to get back to the level of the past five years. I have all confidence in Sallee.

Cincinnati not very good. New coach. Still a good win. Again, these gals are young and they sometimes play young. Too, that Florida trip could have been very hard on such a young group, but yet a great bonding time. They are going to be sporadic, but there is some good talent. Need more size. Really hurts that they have to play Samz at the point so much. The frosh point will be a good one, but she's tiny and looks a bit intimidated at this point. They also played really hard last night.
