Sadly it’s not unusual anymore.

I almost responded to Cardfan to say that I'm not a grammar nazi. The only place that errors like that really make me cringe are in the educational/professional context. I think it reflects poorly on the university when our students/alumni make such elementary mistakes. I know my grammar sucks because I frequently write things that are proofread and the returns are usually ugly. But I know the difference between our/are and there/their and if I was writing for publication I would be careful about it. <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 25.539999999999964px; height: 6.439999999999998px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 15px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_80474566" scrolling="no" width="25.539999999999964" height="6.439999999999998"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 25.54px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1215px; top: -5px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_30086151" scrolling="no" width="25.539999999999964" height="6.439999999999998"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 25.54px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 15px; top: 259px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_60607580" scrolling="no" width="25.539999999999964" height="6.439999999999998"></iframe> <iframe style="position: absolute; width: 25.54px; height: 6.44px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 1215px; top: 259px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_72724177" scrolling="no" width="25.539999999999964" height="6.439999999999998"></iframe>

OOF! There is more, a LOT more. Here is the worst ...
"With a handful of player coming from the Indianapolis area and Ball State only a hour down the road, it was no surprise that a see of red was abundant inside Indiana Framers Coliseum." I am no grammar Nazi either, but this is BAD I count three big mistakes in one sentence.

Oh my god. That’s straight unacceptable. Wow. Either they have no editors, or they do and the kids aren’t really sharp. Terrible.

Just read the whole "article". Holy smokes. That's a disgrace
Has BSU given up entirely on teaching basic English? Is editing one of those old fashioned things that we've progressed beyond?
Shameful

I guess the bookstore must be out of Associated Press Stylebooks and, come to think of it, dictionaries as well.
Almost enough to make me revoke my BS in Journalism diploma and my OverThePylon moniker!

On the positive side....at least they didn’t start each sentence with “like”.
