Tonight would represent a big time win over one of last years Final Four participants!
We are only +5 on their floor which is even difficult for the kid to grasp!
This could be a statement game!

We had Krutwig on campus. Almost got him. Hopefully he won’t kick our asses.

Sorry but Buffalo is the only statement game left on our schedule. No one will notice a win over Loyola. Why is it hard to believe we are a five point dog to a team with a Sagarin of 91 ? Isn't this our "wait until next year" season ?

Watching the Nevada game, I noticed that Loyola just didn’t have the athletes to contain Nevada’s best players. Loyola is fundamentally sound, but did not overly impress me athletically. I’m hoping that KJ and Teague can maybe take advantage of some possible mismatches. I think these two could have great games tonight! I’m definitely worried about Trey and foul trouble guarding Krutwig. Maybe we will see Trey, Teague, Gunn, and Hazen at some point switch off on him to limit individual fouls.

This is NOT the final four team from last year. They are missing some pieces plus they have a big target on their back. They are fundamentally sound but they are beatable. They are not in Buffalo’s class. Good team but we have already played 3 teams that are better. This would be a good win, not great.

The biggest problem Loyola has this season is they are currently #224 in three point percentage. Last year they finished the season at 19th. If you are going to rely on small ball it's essential you hit your threes, right now they just aren't falling for the Ramblers.

I agree with Reevo partially this team is missing a piece or two but their guards and center I believe are the same as the Final 4 team...and there are many returnees. I believe this team is something like 18-2 at home in their last 20 starts.
Sweep the team we have this year is pretty darn good...at home against Loyola we'd probably be a pick. I think you are discounting a pretty good team to early. A few years ago we had teams like 250+ in rankings as I recall...I would agree that beating this team is a good win maybe not great as Reevo has said, but give our kids a little credit.
Yes, and I disagree that nobody would notice the win..
By the way, the only reason I called it a possible statement game because playing a team that would rank in the top 2 of the MAC and winning on the road would be a very good indicator and a confidence booster going into MAC play...
Just a couple of added points.....BSU Scoring offense ranks 56th nationally and our FG % ranks 27th nationally..

Really? Who would notice?
Maybe in the sense of "Oh look....Loyola must have lost a lot off their last year's team."

Are you trying to tell us a Wednesday night game, between two unranked teams, streamed on an internet pay only service won't garner much attention ? Preposterous.............
