I’m not convinced we see Hazen again this year. And if it’s going to be a thing that can act up again in the future....
Could certainly use Ish. I don’t relish the thought of relying heavily on Thompson or Nehls long term.

That line in the article about burning Coleman's red-shirt if there were any more injuries was disconcerting. Regardless of where one stands on the argument of whether Coleman will or will not amount to much over his BSU career, to waste a year by playing a dozen or so games after intentionally missing the first 15 to 20 would be to no one's benefit.

We can probably get along with ONE of the two players, Ish or Hazen injured. It would still hurt then. Both out means we really need somebody. He would help because he could play G-F as we played Sellers down the stretch last year. Not a perfect reserve in either role, not this year anyway.
But both out is a very discouraging prospect. Let's hope that isn't true and we get both back.

The black clouds form again. Always something. Maybe this time the clouds will clear at tourney time! Come on, we are way over due for good karma.

Much rather lose conference games and be getting it altogether at tourney time. We can win enough games in conference short handed. But 3 games in 3 days you have to have some depth.

Whitford's tourney runs tend not to tax the depth or stamina of the team.

Whitford's tourney runs tend not to tax the depth or stamina of the team. We presumably want to play 3 games in MAC this year. The team suffered from being down to two scholarship guards, one a freshman last year. Ran out of steam in last regular season games. Need Ish back. Hazen can be a big plus.

Need Ish back. Hazen can be a big plus. That's what happens when you reach into the knuckle-head pile for recruits. Do you mean losing 3 good guards in one year, JT (yes a knucklehead, but very talented), Walker (not much clue he was a knucklehead) plus having a senior who had played well 3 years disappear unexpectedly after an injury early, and that it was somehow predictable?
I don't think so. We started the season with depth at guard that looked like it would be a real plus by tourney time when we had a good chance to have all playing well.
