Since we now have access to access to almost every Basketball game possible. I think we as a group should pick a random obscure team who is good join there message board and see what life is like on the other side. We deserve some team to watch and follow through a hopeful tournament run

We deserve some team to watch and follow through a hopeful tournament run If we're going to do that why not just bail entirely and follow Duke or Kentucky? The chances of picking the Loyola/Butler/George Mason for their dream season is pretty much impossible. Duke or Kentucky will produce year-in and year-out.

It has to be one of the programs that is getting all the McDonalds all-americans funneled ($$$$) to them by the shoe companies. They have really got it going on and there is no way to pin anything on them. It would be silly to go with anyone else. So the choices are Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and ??
How funny would that be if we all shuffled onto one of their boards en masse one day, completely unfamiliar with concepts of winning, the post season, and any sort of positive expectation. Making incomprehensible references to Bane, Longwood, Jokers Wild and so on. Then they are suddenly hit with their first Sweep/00hmh post vortex.

Believe me, the teams with those high expectations are very similar in basketball discussion, whining, criticizing and fiercely defending players and coaches. And overreacting to both wins and losses.
And having disdain for other high major programs. We'd fit right in on all that.
Excellent points about the rest.

We should head to Kansas. They've been cheating their butts off for ages, but the NCAA will never do anything to them. They won a championship with a player who needed his grades changed to graduate from high school, the investigative legwork was done by someone else, and the NCAA still refused to get involved.
They have a knack for under-performing in the tournament. Maybe our support would get them over the hump.

I still disagree I think our charms would get lost in the shuffle and speed of big board with lots of posters. Plus once we got a taste of feeling like a winner we might not be able to come back.
There are a couple obvious choices one would be
TCU we have a 100 pages on the great one MR Bane all ready.
The other choice might not lead us to any better basketball but my goodness the fun we would have
Longwood We have years of material imagine if the 20 of us just showed up out of the blue balls with a days of dick jokes and some occasional Basketball.

Why would Kansas be at fault if some High School changed a kids grade and what exactly could NCAA do about it ? If a kids grade was altered it was to keep him eligible in High School. Heck my High School Principal altered my permanent transcript, without a teachers knowledge, because the teacher was a bat-shit-crazy moron.

Because without having his grades altered, he wouldn't have graduated from high school and wouldn't have been eligible to play college basketball.

I understand, but how does that make Kansas cheaters ? They didn't change his grade to keep him High School eligible or pass him through the NCAA clearinghouse.

Maybe some representative or advocate of Kansas had some influence on the situation? Maybe the coaching staff had some knowledge of what was going on? I know nothing whatsoever about the particular situation...I'm just listing a couple possibilities.

In this case I don't believe that allegation is being made. It seems more a case of possible collusion between a High School coach and principal to keep a kid on the team. If I am remembering correctly the supposed teacher didn't come forward until a few years later when he/she had some sort of personal beef with his/her former employer. I don't think anyone has ever proven anything and I doubt the NCAA has jurisdiction to investigate. In some school districts it's not necessarily a rare occurrence for principals to override grades if they feel a student has been treated unfairly. In my personal case the principal completely scrubbed a class from my transcript because the teacher was an outright nutjob.
