The league doesn’t allow it anymore. He kept talking serious shit after the game too so we’ll see what their next match up looks like. Pacers need a Davis brother or a D West to let Butler know the Pacers have Warrens back. Pacers lack that toughness and swagger.

I think that lack of toughness and swagger stems directly from their head coach. Is there anyone who could honestly see Nate doing what Spoelstra did before the game and publicly call his team soft? We saw how Miami responded, while everyone but Warren for the Pacers tucked their tails.

Spoelstra coaches circles around McMillan. McMillan is blase and his record is too.

Good article in IndyStar comparing Indiana and Heat. There is a significant difference, but the article concludes it may be closer than it looks longer term. Gives Butler a lot of the credit in contrast with Pacers lacking their star and their big edition in the backcourt.
Indiana did not play its usual game against the Heat which exaggerated differences, but it is about aggressive play and how that is the new look in the NBA among top teams. They take apart the next tier. Well that and talent...

Totally disagree with the comments about McMillan. His record is impressive(.5247) and his teams are disciplined. When Brogden and Victor come back things will be different after the break. Still love our bench!

Still love our bench! Yup, that career record .347 in the playoffs with one playoff series win is impressive! Almost as impressive as one MAC tournament win in 6 seasons. Maybe Whit can replace Nate as Pacers coach!

I'm too old for the Pacers to play on the West Coast. I'm in bed by 10, and 9pm tip-offs are a killer!

McMillan forcing oladipo into the rotation too much too soon. Pacers are a hot mess right now. No energy and not playing well. The chemistry and flow has been thrown off.

McMillan forcing oladipo into the rotation too much too soon. Pacers are a hot mess right now. No energy and not playing well. The chemistry and flow has been thrown off. The same thing happened at the start of the season when they went 0-3 against the likes of Detroit and Cleveland while the new additions meshed with the holdovers from last year. There were going to be growing pains, regardless. You try to get through them as quickly as possible, and the way you do that is forcing as much time together as possible in the game. They don't practice in the NBA in the sense of 5 on 5, so the only way Vic gets to know his new teammates and vice-versa is through in-game play. He'll develop the chemistry, but it's going to take a while. If they're still having these problems after the all-star break, then I think it's ok to be a bit more concerned. Also this isn't all on Vic. The Pacers shot 25% from 3 last night excluding Vic's shooting. Brogdon has missed his last 3 FT's and is a 90%+ shooter. Warren is out with a concussion. The Pacers haven't had a clean injury report in over a year. I think they'll settle down a little bit during tomorrow's game. First road game, a chance to get away from the pressures of wanting to perform well for the home crowd, and just go out and play in a game nobody thinks they can win.

Brogdan still isn’t right. He’s the key, IMO.

To be fair, none of this really matters as long as Nate is the coach. They're never going to be better than a second round exit with him patrolling the sidelines.
