The frustrating part is no matter of what any of us thought about whit or the players we had. None of us expected this at all and it makes it that much harder to fathom..
Im waiting for a dose of realitycheck he will have a post that really kicks us in the nuts

I'm gonna drive over to the local screen printing shop and get the "2018-2019 Ball State Men's Basketball James Whitford Farewell Tour" t-shirts made up. Will his picture be “squatting to take a dump”........”twisting his hair”.......or just a dumb, confused look on his face?

Shut it Acree will save us.. Forget the fact that we will likely have a freshman PG forced to play huge minutes and no center to be found. As I watch Person pill-up the turnovers with limited numbers of assists, I start to wonder if Bumbalough could do any worse? At least the number of turnovers might go down. I suspect Bumbalough will not be able to get-off that many 3-point shots, but that might force an actual running of the offense instead of playing "hero-ball". We will actually get more “point guard” play with Bumbalough even if he can’t score as well. But HMh will tell us we don’t need a true point guard. Or a big. But guarding other MAC guards will be a problem. Oh wait, it is now.

Yep this is the kind of season that gets coaches fired. In another parallel to Bill Taylor, it will not be this year that end's Whitford's time at BSU, it will be next year. Just like it wasn't Jarrod Jones and Randy Davis' last season (2011-12), but the following year that Billy got canned. Whitford will not get fired this year, the last year of Tayler Persons and Try Moses, but next season. So that would put BSU in the worst possible scenario ever. If we have too hire two coaches(basketball and football) in the same year. We are getting to be even further hamstringed by money issues.. We might as well fold both programs

The admin doesn’t want to spend on another coach. Athletics is taking budget cuts as it is.

So yea we have at least two more years of whit.. Unless he pulls a Lembo

Our only hope this season is we turn him down flat for an extension and he gets pisssed-off and takes an assistants job somewhere.

I'm starting to believe something like 5-13 is possible for our MAC record this year. That would make our regular season record 14-17, then 14-18 after a 1 and done MAC tournament. Follow that up with a similar record next season, or worse, and with only 2 years left on his contract for the buyout; it might be his time is up.

OK well after that unpleasant interlude, let's get back to Van Halen songs. But let me state that if you don't recognize the David Lee version as the only true Van Halen then please don't bother to post about it because you are a total, hopeless idiot. Here is a link to a guy's ranking of ALL Van Halen songs from 131st to 1st. I strenuously disagree with many of the rankings, but it's worth following the link to see the hilarious porn-star-wanna-be picture of Michael Anthony. I've always liked "Running With The Devil When The Opportunity Presents Itself" link

But Hey lets step back off the ledge because it really is all about Cleveland. We can do it come on guys Totally agree! It’s always been about Cleveland. Did we think we were going to get an “at-large” bid? Our chances haven’t changed...just the probability.
