The Black Key Bulls were a very prolific independent intramural program during the early and mid 1970's at Ball State. They were successful in about every intramural sport they played, plus Bike-a-thon. The group fizzled out in the late '70s. In the '90s, some of their BSU legacies formed some pretty competitive Bike-a-thon teams. It looks like the Black Key Bulls have reformed at IU as a Little 500. Looks like they are having some success down there. www.idsnews.com/article/2019/02/black-key-bulls-prepare-for-another-podium-finish

Remember them well...our fraternity actually beat them for the intramural football championship in about 1971 or 72....but they were very good in everything...

Yes they were. A former member who also played on the volleyball team lives in our neighborhood here in SaddleBrooke. Rick Ervin. Plays softball with us now. Good guy.
