rm if he bought you a couple of drinks before a game I bet you would be singin' his praises!!!! All kidding aside you guys are correct in pointing out his D-3 ''journey''. With the problems we have had in the past with the line play, I hope Neu thought long and hard on this hire. If you can coach , you can coach. I hope he is a coach. Thats true on paper it loos kinda blah but maybe he turns out to be awesome.. I hope that is indeed the case. It scares me more because the oline is critical to the success of any team

I am tryin' to be positive about this football situation. I wanted Neu to be a success so badly. It has been a while since were feared in the MAC. I want to reach that level again.

Home friendly schedule. I hope Neu can finally show us a new way to success.seven wins would be nice, I could “almost” be happy with six. Anything less than a 6-6 season is unacceptable after six years! Sounds like ou basketball program discussion. Ball State has fallen on hard times and it’s hard being a Cardinal fan.

I believe it will be 4 years, not 6. Regardless, that should be enough time to turn a program around.

He’s recruited for d3 schools..... This doesn't bother me. It's about doing things right and making the connections to the schools, coaches and influencers in your recruiting area. Center Grove, Ben Davis, Warren Central, Cathedral, Avon, Chatard.... etc will have kids from the same class go D1, D2 and D3 just about every year. For HS coaches, its about finding the right fit for ALL your players and ensuring the college staff is treating them right (before and after signing). If he has been doing things the right way he should be fine. DePauw and Butler are great options for their level and earned the right to be selective on who they take athletically. He will talking to the same folks that he has been.

Yeah none of us have said he won’t work out, just doesn’t have the strength of resume you’d typically want for such a crucial position coach at the d1 level. He might be tremendous at coaching the line and that would be great. We need to get better there.

We do at least know he’ll be passionate about the job and will bust his ass to get good results.
