NIU had 5 turnovers, BSU had 17 turnovers. Regardless of a low points per possession ratio, if you give any team 12 extra possessions you've got to be near-flawless everywhere else - which obviously we weren't good in any offensive category, note NIU 10 for 10 on FT's compared to our 7 of 14 including missed front-ends of 1 & 1's. I might also point out in regards to some above comments about Persons - I think some of his brashness in past years really caught up to him this year as opponents really came out with an attitude this season to "get him back" and lock him and his attitude down....TP wasn't able to overcome the extra opponent effort put his direction.

Quick thoughts from being "on the scene" tonight: We really do have a talented and experienced team. Should have run Northern Illinois off the court. Both Teague and Walton have a LOT of basketball athleticism that aren't even remotely utilized. They seem to get the ball only by accident. We can't shoot squat. Sorry, a nice guy but Moses isn't a D1 player.....yet we throw the ball in to him A LOT Persons is a maniac Freaking coach didn't even get on the microphone to talk about the seniors ? Got in free, parked free.....that's about the price you should expect to pay for this travesty.

Whitford doesn’t know how to best utilize talents like Teague and Walton . Like you said, they almost seem to get the ball by accident. Teague has mvp type talent and showed it in early games. And then we stopped involving him. 🤷♂️

“There’s not one metric that wouldn’t say this is the best Ball State team we’ve ever had other than our win-loss record." - @ballstatembb head coach @coachjwhit after the Cardinals' loss on senior night.
and whos fault would this be Jimmy

At the 12 minute mark of the first half we were up 18-4. Northern made adjustments, upped their intensity and outscored us 60-39 the rest of the way. What adjustments did we make? Pathetic.

I'm just gonna throw three point FGs out there as a starting point......

It’s Saturday morning and I am still pissed. This team had so much talent and ability, but the coaching staff has no clue on how to use the talent. To see Hazen pass up an open three for a pass to a hot dog was all I could take. To see Teague so wanting to jack up a three, insane. To see Northern go on a run and the coach playing with his hair, beyound anger. What a waisted year. To not have a strong player in the middle - the other MAC teams packed the middle, stopped Mosses, and we had no response. This had in almost all games in the second half of the season and we made no adjustments. What a wasted year. There needs to be a change - well thought out, a national search, and a willingness to pay the price for a quality coach. There is so much possibility at Ball U and so little effort.
Final thought, why the hell are there so many empty parking spaces around the arena? I get so tired of parking out in the far end of the freshman lot and walking past these spaces. Make it easier for the fans when it’s cold in the middle of winter. Again, when I went to the ND game we parked close to the entrance to their arena and it cost nothing to park. They need to make it friend family!

Contact the AD, Beth Goetz about the things like parking. She’s in the process of digging into the fan experience and things where bsu is failing.

So next year we lose Persons and Moses (and possibly Teague), and head into the final year of what will OBVIOUSLY be a lame duck contract with Whitford. If you guys think recruiting has sucked to this point, you'd better strap in. Dont forget maybe Thompson as well(I know not great but we kinda need him) Right. Our potential first game starting point guard who's not even on scholarship. What a mess.
