Dont forget maybe Thompson as well(I know not great but we kinda need him) Right. Our potential first game starting point guard who's not even on scholarship. What a mess. Bumbalough will start day 1.

Contact the AD, Beth Goetz about the things like parking. She’s in the process of digging into the fan experience and things where bsu is failing. Oh, she's "digging into the fan experience", is she? Well, she can stop digging at 11th-place-in-the-MAC, and one-conf-tourney-win-in-5-years. She needs to spend her time figuring out how to fix THAT and leave parking to some underling. The "fan experience" is that the program has been an embarrassing, unsightly turd for two decades now, and you would really have to be lacking in alternative activities to want to spend time and money coming to watch it. Apparently her background is in soccer, and given the current mania for gender and such things, I suspect her advancement was accelerated by those sorts of factors. But I don't know much of anything about her. Maybe she is an intelligent person. Maybe she's capable of taking a good, hard-nosed, fresh look at the basketball coaching situation and coming up with a competent plan to find a smart, creative coach with ideas in his head. Given BSU's history, I'm certainly not expecting this, but who knows? Sometimes miraculous things happen out of nowhere.

Even if she wanted to make a change tomorrow she’d be told no.

Even if she wanted to make a change tomorrow she’d be told no. Well then I guess she can blame her predecessors for the problems, pretend to keep busy by doing a study on parking or whatever, and enjoy her comfortable income. Not a bad gig, that.

Right. Our potential first game starting point guard who's not even on scholarship. What a mess. Bumbalough will start day 1. And I almost look forward to it happening. That late game pass attempt to Gunn that was intercepted by a NIU player for an easy layup was so typical of how little Person values avoiding turnovers. I agree Bumbalough will be starting next year and the following year which should be Whitford's last. Then the question will be: "will Bumbalough stay for the new coach or transfer-out after his Sophomore season"?

It’s Saturday morning and I am still pissed. This team had so much talent and ability, but the coaching staff has no clue on how to use the talent. To see Hazen pass up an open three for a pass to a hot dog was all I could take. To see Teague so wanting to jack up a three, insane. To see Northern go on a run and the coach playing with his hair, beyound anger. What a waisted year. To not have a strong player in the middle - the other MAC teams packed the middle, stopped Mosses, and we had no response. This had in almost all games in the second half of the season and we made no adjustments. What a wasted year. There needs to be a change - well thought out, a national search, and a willingness to pay the price for a quality coach. There is so much possibility at Ball U and so little effort. Final thought, why the hell are there so many empty parking spaces around the arena? I get so tired of parking out in the far end of the freshman lot and walking past these spaces. Make it easier for the fans when it’s cold in the middle of winter. Again, when I went to the ND game we parked close to the entrance to their arena and it cost nothing to park. They need to make it friend family![/q uote] They showed a picture of the arena from a drone shot during the game last night and all you could see was a vast empty parking lot! I told my wife that shot makes it look like no one was even at the game!😳🙄

I agree with Sherm - only one thing is really important right now - fixing the basketball program.

I vote football first but you know thats just me If we were in a power conference fine, but men's basketball is by far our best shot at success. The investment is about 1/20th of football, and it is realistic to compete at a top 50-100 level.

Football is definitely first. A 5 to 10 million $ yearly loss dwarfs the other athletic issues. A true leader would find a way to end that drain on the students and call the rest of the MAC to follow.
I estimate the odds of Goetz taking this on to be somewhere around 7 zillion to 1 against.
