The top 14 rated teams in KenPom are all still alive in the Sweet 16. You also have 19 LSU and 28 Oregon. Cinderella, where art thou?
You have all power conference teams plus Gonzaga (big shocker there) and Houston. Houston, given it's market size and tradition can hardly be considered a real Cinderella, even if they've underperformed for many years.
This is unprecedented in my memory. Hope this is not what to expect going forward.

I totally agree. We will see if it effects the ratings I have doubts about that. Also look at how many teams are from just 3 leagues BT,SEC & ACC have 12. I would love to see a limit placed on the number from a conference or that they win over half their conference games.

I'd like to see you pitch that idea to an NCAA committee, which would be packed with, and dominated by, representatives from the money conferences. You'd be lucky to escape the room with only moderate injuries.

Okay, but ask yourself this, how many Power 6 schools, that received at large bids, would Toledo beat on a neutral court.

Oh it's going that way and fast too! This is what the money ahm, I mean power conferences have wanted all along. And as far as Houston goes being there with the big boys count that as a mere aberration for this year as Sampson will move on after this year to the big boys conference, I'm guessing the SEC somewhere, probably Alabama, and the little guys conferences will be on the outside looking in next year.
