I received a follow-up email from the BSU Foundation regarding One Ball State Day. One paragraph was perplexing...
Yesterday, on the University's inaugural One Ball State Day, we made history. A record breaking 3,700+ gifts were made by alumni, employees, students, and friends from around the world!
Sooo, if it was the "inaugural One Ball State Day", how did we break a record with 3,700+ gifts. I get that it was historical, but I'm not sure what record was broken since it was the first time the event was held.

Sure. Bigger schools and some smaller schools do better on their "One Day" campaigns than 3700, but first try, and but it is good news where we are just at the point where enough grads are in higher paying years in their careers. And older...

Maybe the BSU Foundation folks still had the “end of season” basketball presser in their heads and felt compelled to put an embellished spin on the event.
