No mid-week games due to finals week.
1st place BSU goes to NIU for the weekend series. NIU (14-29, 10-8) has gotten pretty hot in MAC play. They swept EMU, Ohio and just took 2 of 3 from Miami. They were swept by CMU, and dropped 2 to Kent and WMU.
Gonna be a tough three games on the road. If we get 2 of 3, it'll be great.

In my defense, it was a 5:50 am post. That’s not a typical time of the day that some of us grads see very often.
But we still have injuries to 3 of our starters going in to DeeKab.

At least is's good to see Hulecki back in the lineup.
Still not sure why the coaches thought it was necessary to have Hulecki pitch against Kansas back in early March. I don't think he had thrown in a game since he threw some relief in HS. He injured his arm pitching ( the guy is a utility man ) in that game and ended up missing every game from March 10th to April 23rd.

We let the NIU pitcher out of the 1st inning having thrown only 8 pitches.
Jameson gives up an HR to the lead off hitter. Gives up 3 hits in the 1st. Looks like NIU is ready to play.

BSU wins game #2 4-1 on a strong showing by John Baker.
Hope we get the sweep tomorrow.

A great combined pitching effort from Baker and Floyd in game 2. Im pleaded with a minimum of 2 out of 3, but a sweep Sunday would be even better.
