Did you notice that the bottle of bitters was completely empty, and the "two, maybe three dashes of bitters" were entirely imaginary?
Her mint julep instructions are equally hilarious. She makes an entire toss salad of mint leaves in the glass, crushes them into a green lump, then adds "two ounces" of bourbon, which she judges to be about half a bottle. She finishes with her patented glass-to-glass mixing method.

Why would you screw up good bourbon by putting... anything... in it? Agreed, however if you are going to throw a bunch of stuff in your Bourbon, Jim Beam is the correct swill to do it with. |
