Card fan I would agree that we did not play well but some things we did pretty well like rebounding, score distribution, and defense!!
I still like my chances for 15 or more...I remember you said less!
Hope you are wrong .

Why so negative about a win. This team lost 18 games in a row, so learning to win has not been part of the culture in recent years. Two games where the opposing team either made it close or tied it up, both games the Cards were able to hold on and win.

Right now we couldn't beat any MAC team. That's not what the computers say. Favored or even at home against 5 or 6 teams, within a point several more, within one 3 point basket against 3 more. Suspect that margin will be smaller as we get closer to the MAC season, it still factors in the recent seasons play. We are not great, but we are much better than last year, and the story will be about all those close games we will play. I like our odds to improve over last year on that count, just due to improved depth.

The computers are not on the schedule. We HAVE to tighten things up.

I'll not be as optimistic as you are overall, but I think your bet on 15 wins is a good one, should go down to the wire. I give you credit for putting your money where your mouth is.

Keep in mind I said right now. I think some good elements are there. We are rebounding well. We are assisting better. The turnovers are a bit better. However, the regular blowing of leads is very concerning. And against bad teams no less. We honestly should be 5-0 and feeling pretty good. Instead we could just as easily be 0-5. Thankfully are are not. Again, it's early, but there real question marks.

Right now we couldn't beat any MAC team. Well we aren't playing any MAC teams at the moment. Will be tough, granted, but why focus so much on what might happen rather than accept your team won a game. Hopefully the team will continue to develop. It may not, but I'm not dwelling on that until it happens, or not.

However, the regular blowing of leads is very concerning. And against bad teams no less. They get a decent lead and start to relax. They must maintain focus. There are no throw away possessions in college basketball.

A double digit lead in the first half used to mean something, but as the college game has increasingly become more like the pro game the truth is it means virtually nothing. To lose a 10+ point lead in the first half or to come back from one is virtually assured in almost every game. I suggest we get used to it and just hope that we have the last big run.

Just about where I expected we would be at this point. I do think we are probably a bit better than last year(doesn't take much) Im waiting to see how we play valpo as I think they are a better team to judge our improvement or lack there of.

Unfortunately the student crowd will be weak as it's thanksgiving break. Hoping the Muncie community comes out for the game.

Is that how much $ you're putting on Valpo to beat us?
