Away game. Hurons one of two MAC teams with a winning record.
Quick statistical glance show both teams right on top of each other except for “defensive efficiency”, where Cards have a substantial advantage (contrary to fan base pre-season predictions).
Over The Pylon frequenters must guard against the typical “we’re way better than people thought” phenomenon that regularly follows an unexpected athletic win.

Emu will be ready. Will we? We cannot afford another slow start. Just can’t.

Emu will be ready. Will we? We cannot afford another slow start. Just can’t. I hope we aren't still euphoric about the NIU victory (the Hammock Era @ NIU is off to a rough start). EMU got their ass handed to them by rival CMU. They will come looking to get back on the winning track. BSU needs to be ready.

Hope I can get the game on TV. I don't get enough black-and-white television these days.

2.5 favorite historically that's not good for us as we never perform well as a fovorite

Well, I must confess that although I projected we would beat NIU 33-30 by halftime I had given up!
Will we be overconfident or have a let down? Absolutely possible.
Or will EMU be down and almost out after a beat down at the hands of Central?!
I believe the later will be the case and I anticipate a 31-17 W for the Cards

I’m going with the Cards finally feeling that the hard work and believing in the coach’s message is paying off. I think they go in and play hard, once again, the key is minimizing HUGE mistakes. The got lucky at NIU as they gave us the breaks, after we started the game on a terrible note. Cards 24 EMU 20.

Absolutely sky high after finally beating NIU. But, until we prove we can string several strong performances together in MAC games I won’t believe we’ve gotten anywhere. They need to prove it now. This team is improved. How much so we’ll find out Saturday. One thing that’s for sure Is Plitt has to be MUCH better vs Emu.

EMU is definitely trending down. Their last 2 games have been head scratchers.

“With NIU and Ball State seemingly in rebuild mode.....” Where has this guy been? Hustlebelt should know that THIS is what we put on the field after a rebuild.

This is one of those games that becomes pretty important. We have had a couple in b ball recently. If we win we really get momentum and maybe some people start talking. Lose and the niu win looks flukier than most media already thinks it was

Lose and the niu win looks flukier than most media already thinks it was And it’s doubly important to get this one because beating Toledo probably isn’t going to happen. Cmu also suddenly looks like a slimmer chance of a win. Gotta get every win in even odds games we can.
