The defense played great in the 4th quarter, up until the last minute of the game. We had great pressure on the EMU QB, but that last minute, BSU seemed to take the pressure off.

Can anybody let me know what happened on our last drive? Wlbc cut out mid 3rd qtr to play music as I was driving home from work. I get home to see via espn app that we have the ball, 4th down at emu 33 and we punt? Can we atleast try a fg? Emu was past the 33 on thier first play after the touchback, so I don't see how even a long fg miss hurts. A made long fg locks the game down though. But instead I have to suffer through some bsuish heroics to wait for a win.

Delay out of timeout is bad enough. I may be biased being a former kicker but every div 1 school should have somebody who is atleast 50/50 in the 45-50 range, if not better. Atleast give it a shot. Punting did nothing. Go for the first down or fg attempt. Punting is cop out in that situation. We won so i guess i shouldn't be such a back seat coach. I'm getting older and I'm not sure if I can take games like this anymore.

Yep. And it can prevent your team from winning. Yep, we were one toe away from losing. Mike Neu almost got caught premature celebration after we got first down with 2 minutes to go. As relieved as I am that we hung on for the win, Coach Neu has to be 10x more relieved. He would’ve gotten lit up by fans had we lost that game. |

No matter what happened, we got a key win on the road again. Enjoy the hell out of it. Plenty of time for the criticism tomorrow!
Nice win Cards! Put your body armor on as the Rockets are now in a must win situation. However, they displayed a chink in their armor today. Could this now be a toss up game??
